  • Traditional schools just feel outdated. But what’s the alternative?”

  • “I’m afraid of choosing the wrong environment and seeing my child lose confidence.”

You're not alone! Many forward thinking parents are asking the same questions.

That’s exactly why we created this 2 minute quiz: to help you get clarity on the kind of learning environment that will truly support your child and to introduce an option you may not have considered yet.

What if your child’s unique talents

could truly change the world?

That’s not just a dream, it’s the foundation of Acton Academy.

Too many children go through school never discovering their passion or purpose.

It’s one of the deepest fears parents share, that their child might “fit in”

but never truly stand out.

We believe that when children understand who they are and what they’re capable of, they don’t just succeed, they thrive. And the world becomes better because of it.

Like many parents, we grew tired of watching children get stuck in a painfully outdated system, one that prioritises obedience over ownership, repetition over real world skills, and scores over self discovery.

The world is changing fast. Education should, too.

Children deserve an environment that sparks curiosity,

nurtures creativity, and encourages them to ask: “What if?”

When we discovered Acton Academy, a global network of learner driven schools,

we knew we had to bring it to London; we wanted to create a space where every child could grow into the confident, courageous, independent hero they were born to be.

Today, we’re proud to be part of a growing community of 350+ Acton Academies around the world, all working together to reimagine education for the 21st century.

About our Spark Studio for Ages 4-7

Inspired by Anji Play

& Loose Parts Play

We believe young children learn best when they’re free to explore, test ideas, and make discoveries on their own terms. That’s why our learning environment is built around open-ended materials, flexible spaces, and lots of room for imagination.

THE HERO'S JOURNEY:

Your Child at the Center

of Their Own Story

We believe every child is a hero, capable of courage, creativity, and growth.

Our learners don’t sit passively waiting to be taught. Instead, they embark on their own Hero’s Journey, where each day is an opportunity to explore, take on challenges, and discover more about who they are.

Studio Maintenance

and Contracts:

Building Responsibility & Community from Day One

We believe that even our youngest learners are capable of contributing meaningfully to their community. That’s why we guide them to take ownership through two daily practices: Studio Maintenance and Studio Contracts.

Setting SMART Goals = Learning to Think and Speak Like a Problem Solver

Our youngest learners set daily SMART goals; goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time bound.

Choosing the right learning environment for your 4 - 7 year old

is one of the most important decisions you’ll make,

especially if you’re exploring options beyond traditional schools.

In just 2 minutes, this short quiz will help you reflect

on your child’s natural learning style, your family’s values,

and what kind of educational environment can best support

your child’s growth, confidence, and independence.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is St. George Academy affiliated with Acton Academy?

St. George Academy is part of the network of over 300 Acton Academies around the world. We follow the same exact Learning Design (curriculum) and learning model that our owners helped create at the original Acton Academy campus.

Our mission is to bring the wildly successful Acton Academy model to the UK - not just for the few, but for all. As a registered charity, we're pioneering a leaner, more joyful, learner driven alternative to traditional education. One day, we hope to prove this model can inspire change across the state system.

What are the tuition fees?

St. George Academy is a UK registered charity committed to providing world class, learner driven education to children from all backgrounds.

While our published tuition is £25,000 per year (excluding VAT), there are no compulsory extras and we offer a range of scholarships and subsidised places to ensure that access is not limited by ability to pay. We're building a diverse, mission aligned community, and we welcome enquiries from families who share our values - whatever their financial circumstances. All surpluses are reinvested into expanding access through scholarships and future campuses; as we grow, we will expand access through fully funded campuses in underserved areas.

Please get in touch to explore your options. No child should miss out on discovering their calling because of cost.

Is the Acton Academy a Montessori school?

We respect and incorporate Maria Montessori’s philosophy but, we are not a Montessori school. We also use the latest interactive technologies, hands on projects and the Socratic Method for discussions.

Is St. George Academy a religious school?

While we expose children to the importance of mindfulness, ethical principles, and the significance of the Judeo-Christian ethic to the development of Western Civilisation, we are not a religious school. We value and respect individual beliefs and are open to people of all faiths and none.

Do you accept pupils with special educational needs or disabilities?

Yes. We review every application individually and will consider reasonable adjustments where needed.

What do you mean by "every child can change the world"?

We believe each of our students will find a passion - something they love and have a gift to do. They will use this gift to serve others and fulfil a need they are passionate about in the world. For example, this may be by becoming a shoe-shiner who tells stories and makes people's day just by doing his job with love and vigour; it may be by becoming a coach who sees the light in a child's eyes and guides him or her to pursue a dream; it may be by becoming a father or mother who leads a family on a Hero's Journey; it may be becoming an entrepreneur or business leader guided by compassion and integrity; or it may be by becoming an artist or writer who brings beauty to people's lives.

What does an average school day look like?

Our learning time is broken into morning Socratic discussions, core skills time, collaborative learning quests, civilization discussions, writers workshops, and free time. Multiple outside breaks are an important part of each day. Using the incredible eLearning tools now available, we are able to provide the rigors needed for learning math's, vocabulary, spelling, and grammar in about 90 minutes each day, while freeing up the rest of the day for engaging, project-based collaborative learning.
